thinking of you, wherever you are ...oh…so i only aged (a number less than 80 years that i’m too lazy and dumb to try and math) a little??? :/// that’s a disappointment….but thanks i guess gi …. v_v

Sora, at his very core, is a naturally predisposed optimist. He’s cheerful even in the toughest of times - a trait that sets him apart from most. There are moments when even Sora feels it difficult to keep up his cheery exterior, but he manages to find and draw strength from his friends. He considers his friends a major part of his inner strength - Sora knows that without them, he wouldn’t be the same in heart, soul, and strength. Sora’s friends are part of the reason he’s who he is today, and part of the reason he’s here today. His closest friends, such as Riku and Kairi (as well as Donald and Goofy), are the ones that Sora would drop anything and everything for to come to their aid, despite the request.
A very loyal and compassionate person, Sora strives to find the good in everyone’s heart, even if it’s not inherently present or visible from the get-go. His effervescent attitude is what draws most people to him, and his openness with all topics helps him keep level-headed and relatable to. He has connections with several different people across several different worlds, and Sora holds each and every person he’s met close to his heart - if they’re friends, that is.
Despite Sora’s friendliness and decent mannerisms, he can tend to have a short temper when it comes to people who rub him the wrong way. Insulting him or his friends, hurting him or his friends, or calling him a child are some of the main ways to get Sora riled up.

Many people have tried - and failed - to cause Sora to be swallowed up and encompassed in darkness. They try his best to beat him down and break him from the inside out - verbally, physically, and mentally. But Sora’s a tough cookie - a tougher person than some people give him credit for. His strength shines as bright as the light in his heart and as strongly as the sun. Words cannot break him down, and Sora finds the attempts more annoying than anything. He’s confident in not only his abilities but everything about himself, and he cares far too deeply about the safety of others to give up so easily.
However, Sora can be much too trusting. He has no trouble approaching complete strangers and spilling everything to them, expecting them to be as good-natured as he himself. He’s learned some over the past two years, but for the most part, Sora’s innocence and naivety have stuck to him like leeches. They probably won’t ever leave, sorry.
Sora can be very slow on the get-go sometimes. He doesn’t catch many things if they’re vague or encrypted, and when he does, even though he tries to figure them out, they usually end up giving him a headache instead. But despite Sora’s obliviousness and thick skull, he’s not stupid or dim. Sora’s just as smart as any other person out there - although his intelligence lies most strongly in battle and combat. Sora can pick up on things not meant for him to, especially if people underestimate his intelligence. Sora’s also capable of expressing deep and thought provoking comments. He’s a great person to talk to when you need advice or comfort, and Sora’s as verbally efficient at comforting you with words as he is with hugs and cuddles.

Despite his bubbly exterior, Sora does have doubts. He doesn’t express them much, because he knows it would only concern those close to him. Sora pays no mind to the dark thoughts lingering around in the back of his head for the most part, anyway. But sometimes, Sora does listen to them, even if he doesn’t believe them. Everyone has their breaking point, even Sora, and even though his is a lot more difficult to reach than others, if an enemy or a group of them tried hard and long enough, they could probably do some damage to Sora’s mental state and wear him down.
Sora’s grown up a lot from the young fourteen year old boy he used to be two-to-three years ago. He’s still childish at heart, but he’s learned a lot of important lessons. Remember, Sora’s fought in a war. He’s seen his friends be taken away in front of his very eyes, fought against countless enemies wanting to kill him, battled against the darkness itself, watched his best friend be swallowed in it. He stopped existing for a short while, he’s had his home and family and friends torn apart by the darkness, and thrust into a role he never wanted or asked for. Sora’s lost important memories, and nearly turned into a vessel of Xehanort to be used as a pawn on the opposite side of the war. Sora’s childish, and naive at times, but he’s not innocent. He knows what to do, and he trusts his instincts. He’s seventeen years old, and Sora knows that even though people don’t remember that fact, he does.
My name is Sam, she/her, and I'm 22. I'm not online very often thanks to my workload IRL, but I try to be on as much as I can (which is usually only around 3 times a week). On the other hand, I will also write a lot of open one - line starters for anyone to reply to – whether I follow you or not. I’ll respond to you definitely if I follow you and you reblog it, but there’s still a good chance I’ll reply even if I don’t!
As a side (but important) note, i do not tolerate bullying. i've seen too much of it on here and if that's the kind of person you are, i'd prefer for us to go our separate ways. neither do i tolerate hate of any kind - racist, homophobic, transphobic, or anything else. be kind and respectful of one another.
unless you're a friend, i will not likely be following any blogs from the bnha fandom. nothing personal, it's just my preference!
everything on this blog - coding, edits, portrayal/headcanons, icons, etc - belongs to me. the only thing that does not belong to me is any art used in icons. the credits to each and every single artist used is in my credits tab, which you can check here! please don’t use or steal anything! if you have any questions on how i did something i’m more than happy to help however. :-) there will also be some mature content on this blog such as blood, violence, mentions of past abuse, blood, foul language, and mentions of death. if you are not comfortable with any of these things, please take care of yourself first and foremost! i will tag everything appropriately for blacklist and tumblr savior, but these things will be on my blog. there will not however, be any smut, as sora is 17.
this is a rebooted sora account. my original account was created sometime in 2012, and i developed him a lot in that time. as such, while the character of sora and the kingdom hearts series belongs to square enix, my portrayal of sora is wholly how i imagine him to be while sticking as closely to canon as possible. this blog is both canon compliant and canon divergent from kh3. for more info, feel free to check out my verses!
while i do find ships with sora to be very cute, they are not my focus for this blog! i don't ship him with very many people outside of riku and kairi, but if there's chemistry between our muses, i'm more than down to play out a ship -- canon or crossover!
i will never force a ship on anyone though, and i will assume that all interactions are platonic unless stated / discussed otherwise. please have the same respect towards me! thank you!
speaking of duplicates, if you play sora and would like to follow me, please feel free to! i love other sora roleplayers, and i love seeing everyone’s take on him. most importantly, i love having other people to talk to about sora who love him as much as i do and understand his character. there’s nothing better than that, in my opinion, and so if you love sora, i love you & will follow you back. ♡
MAIN VERSE. POST - KH3 (DIVERGENT). sora was able to rescue kairi and come back alive, and has ended his years long journey back at home with his friends. while he spends some of his time at home on the islands, catching up on everything that he’s missed, he still has the keyblade and considers it his responsibility to continue protecting the worlds. there are still heartless, after all, despite Xehanort and the Organization being defeated, and while it’s nice to relax and rest and be home at last, he can’t in good conscious leave the worlds to fend for themselves, either. So he still journeys with Donald and Goofy, or with Riku and Kairi on occasion, and while the heartless are still a problem, there isn’t any impending doom looming over his head, no threat of Kingdom Hearts being opened. His journeys are a lot more relaxed because of this, and he can spend more time just meeting new friends and traveling to new worlds. He can’t help but think on what had happened in the Final World, the secrets he’d learned there, and wondering if Chirithy and the strange soul he’d talked to ever found their person. That, and thinking back on what Maleficent or the Organization could have possibly wanted with a black box. But that’s all in the past though, and clearly it didn’t pan out for them, so it’s not like it matters anymore right?
ALT MAIN VERSE. POST - KH3 (COMPLIANT). Upon dying, Sora found himself in the Reapers’ Game, and had a hard time accepting that he was dead, despite knowing the risks of diving into the heart and trying to bring back Kairi. He doesn’t regret it, but it isn’t easy to accept or come to terms with, and eventually Sora manages to make his way back to the world of the living. He still struggles with understanding he’d been dead however, and now has to find his way home on his own, without the help of any of his friends or companions. He just hopes he can make some new ones on the way and find his way back soon.
POST - DDD / PRE - KH3. he may not be a keyblade master, but he’s still a keyblade wielder. and maybe he hadn’t been first choice – maybe the only reason he can wield the keyblade in the first place is because of the people he’s connected to, but that doesn’t matter. what matters is he has the power to make a difference, he has the power to fight. so he will, alongside his friends. he’s traveling the worlds not just to try and stop the darkness and the new organization in light of xehanort’s plans, but to help save all the people in his heart connected to him that sleep still, waiting to be saved.
AU: MODERN DAY. having lost his home due to a terrible storm, sora and his family have moved to twilight town, while sora’s friends kairi and riku have moved elsewhere. sora’s made other friends, but he misses destiny islands and riku and kairi, and when he doesn’t have his head in the clouds about returning to the islands, he’s busy running away to new towns and cities to find riku and kairi. despite the worry he puts his parents through and his own fear of storms, he can’t ever satisfy the itch of his wanderlust.
- aqua training sora / becoming his official mentor
- sora remembering ventus from before and meeting him (in his heart, or IRL after he’s been saved)
- AU where sora becomes king after mickey passes the title to him (because listen, all that crown symbolism and the fact that he and mickey both have the kingdom key has to mean something okay amd im a slut for king sora)
- sorikai. just sorikai. really fluffy sorikai where they spend the night together just being dumb and silly and watching movies and joking and making fun of each other and falling asleep on top of each other.
- sora meeting master xehanort and being really intimidated but also stubborn and angry (but also a little scared)
- talking to lea about roxas
- using his drive form during a fight but turning into his anti - form instead and someone (riku, kairi, lea, aqua, whomever) sees and doesn’t know what’s going on, and after sora’s reverted back he doesn’t remember anything, just vague feelings and unease
- soranort
- regaining his memories of castle oblivion and namine, and subsequently having a lot of questions about it and worry for namine
- Sora finding Rinzler again, and trying to get him to remember how he was Tron / they were friends
- a fight thread with one of the Organization members
- a fight thread with one of the Organization members and he loses
- meeting Terra or Eraqus
- Sora traveling to a different world, and being stuck in the middle of a zombie apocalypse (bc i’m a slut for zombie apocalypses), and he has to deal with being in this darker, scarier world where the only bad guys are people
- finding the masterkeeper
- becoming a keyblade master
- sora becoming more mature as he gains experience and knowledge
- realizing the importance of balance between light and dark, because right now he doesn’t understand it / acknowledge it
- sora meeting up with his mom (and his dad, too!) again for the first time in years, and he’s both guilty and embarrassed and worried to face them after being gone so long without any notice or updates. more importantly, i want how much he’s grown to be stressed. sora hasn’t seen his mom in years, but more importantly, sora’s mom hasn’t seen her son in years. her son went from a young child to almost an adult, years of his life passed by and she wasn’t there to see it. i want to see the consequences of their time apart, like some awkwardness between them, or worry and guilt and new parts of their lives they don’t know about. but also a touching family reunion with a lot of relief and love.
- sora training with herc & phil at the olympus coliseum! herc teaching sora some new moves, phil coaching sora through old stuff, like old training regiments or cups. maybe sora’s final test / training session is to prove himself in another cup.
- sora trying to master the power of waking, and trying to deep dive or dream drop into his own heart without diving too deep that he reaches the darkness again. i want to see him failing a lot but eventually succeeding and being able to talk to ventus / namine / xion / roxas again.
- sora having a really bad nightmare being really shaken up over it. either someone wakes him up from it or they catch him after it. i just want to see sora not really himself for once because of all the stress and worry and painful experiences from the past couple of years have added up. maybe sora and muse b end up talking about it.
- sora, donald, and goofy!! a cute silly trinity trio moment where they’re just bickering / joking / having fun.
- an older sora (20-22, maybe?), now a keyblade master, who splits his time between chilling back at home on destiny islands, and going wherever it is that the King / the worlds need him. being a lot more calm and relaxed and wiser now that he’s older, but still his bright and positive self too.
- sora being called out on his hypocrisy by an enemy
- meeting the MoM, or the foretellers, & hearing about the prophecy or maybe even trying to train under one (or a couple) of them
- sora figuring out who HE is, in the absence / without the influence of ventus, roxas, or xion.
- sora realizing the power of his own strength alongside his friends (in regards to the many comments made to him by others and made BY him to himself about his worth / his strength / how ‘special’ (or rather how unspecial / unextraordinary he is compared to his friends, and how only his connections to other people who were really chosen by the keyblade make him relevant)
- AU where sora and riku are both knights and they're on the same queen's guard, but they get separated and sora ends up travelling to different lands trying to find him.
- OR, an AU where sora is the prince but he just wants to be a knight and fight alongside his men, so he sneaks out and disguises himself as a new knight (with a note from himself to prove he's approved of this 'new knight' that's actually secretly him lol), and travels with his knights to the battlefield. no one figures him out except for riku somewhere along the way, meanwhile the rest of the kingdom is a total mess because they think their prince has gone missing. cue some villainous plot where a villain tries to take over sora’s kingdom since they figure its weakened without its prince, and sora and riku have to try and travel back to the kingdom in time to save it while being in the middle of a war. (lots of silly, funny moments and crazy battles and long journeys meeting new people, having spells cast on them, picking up a companion or two along the way, etc etc). in the end sora realizing he fucked up big time and can’t just do what he wants, but also having grown on his journey and riku having grown as well.
- his journey trying to bring roxas back, and all the problems / issues / struggles that come with it, along with guilt and empathy for roxas, and sora’s frustration at not being able to find a way to bring roxas back.
- ^^^ having the organization fuck with him when they figure out what sora’s trying to do, and on top of that, just the organization fucking with sora in general mentally --- making him have to think past what he believes and thinks he knows to be true, especially when it comes to the darkness and sora’s bias against it.
